I am a Visual Learner but I also learn from hearing, listening, touching and doing things as well. I am a Visual Learner and it shows when I learn because I don’t focus as well when the person isn’t showing it to us visually. Visually learning is easier because I can see what the teacher does and learn by watching, copying and taking notes. |
Understanding the Job Market
Why hire me?
I think you should hire me because I have the more than sufficient ability to do the task provided to me individually or in a group, I can handle the task without complaint.

Workplace Safety
BCLN- Worksafe- 2
The accident could've been prevented if the employee, who was hired the next day, was given at least basic safety training, which he wasn't given. The employer was careless and didn't teach the employee about having a safety work environment. The employer also gave him 24 hour shifts and he became too tired and reckless but was pushed to do more, so he got into an accident because of his recklessness due to the fact that he was too tired to think straight.
In the future, if the employer gave him better training, he would understand why he shouldn't do the shortcuts to parking a forklift without getting on and that would've saved him the injury.

New Workers
and uWhy focus on young and new workers?
Employers and other workers in the company should focus on young and new workers because this could be their first job and they might be reckless or not know what to do. As their senior or supervisor, you should help them along and give them instructions so there will be no injuries and maybe you saved that person from some dangerous hazard that they would've encountered if not given proper instructions.
BCLN- Rights and responsibilites
- As a worker, you have the right to know about all the hazard on the work site and what to do
- You also have the right to speak up, if you are unsure about something you can ask your employer about it and you can ask for help
- You have the right to refuse, if you don't know how to do it or if it is too dangerous you can refuse
- You have responsibilities to follow safe work guidelines and follow training and identify what is worth doing if it is too dangerous or not

Final Project
From all these topics, I have decided and considered workplace safety, making cover letters and what to put on resumes to make myself more unique and stand out. I have learned from these topics and made a good starter resume and cover letter, I was able to find my specialties and abilities to showcase.

My skills are teamwork, shown as I am on a hockey team and we have lots of chemistry in the team and we get along all well.

Reflective Paragraph
I have learned a lot from this important unit because it taught me how to make a resume and what my pros and cons are. I learned what I was good at and it taught me work safety and employment, how to get a job and how to conduct an interview. This topic has helped me look at myself and helps me show my future employer what I have to offer.
